Red is the most popular color for Christmas because it goes with the traditional personalized family ornament "garage sale" idea (sort of like when stores are holding clearance sales). While it is traditional to think of red as an angry color, I think that red has some hidden depths to it that are appreciated more than you might realize. If you're looking for a more subtle or relaxing Christmas present, consider giving someone a red tie. Ties come in many different shades and they are very easy to find in stores, especially around the holidays.

Green is also very popular because it's very relaxing. In fact, there is a type of green clothing that is all the rage--green dresses!
